Dehradun is wide area dominated with water streams, wetlands, Deodar cedar forest, Oak Rhododnndron at the foothills of Himalaya. The area is about 4950 square km. Many factors make it for birding due to its dirversity in the valley, altitudinal range. This altitude change generate the different zones of flora, each zones is inhabited with different birds in different seasons. Bulbuls, leafbirds, hornbills, migrated siberian birds, finches, warblers, bee-eaters, francolins, sub-birds, nuthatches, thrushes and many more types of bird you can find in this beautiful valley around Dehradun city.
