Powalgarh Bird Watching

Pawalgarh declared Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve in the beautiful, vast and rich forests of Ramangar Forest Division. The Conservation Reserve has been finally notified in Dec. 2012. It has area of 60 sq. km. The area is drained by Dabka River and has prime forests of Sal and other species. Baur River flows to the east of the area. The entire landscape in the foothills of Nainital range of mountains. It covers mixed and riverine forest, grasslands, dense Sal, rocky river-beds, inhabitation and agriculture. The area is gaining quite popularity due to its birdlife diversity.
