Overview

We are about to set off on one of the most iconic mountain treks in the world — the Everest Base Camp trek. Over the course of 13 days, we will walk among the high mountains and peaceful villages of the Everest region, traveling through vibrant Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, rhododendron forests, and rugged mountain trails. This trek not only brings us close to the majestic peak of Mount Everest but also immerses us in the rich culture and breathtaking nature of Nepal’s Himalayas.

Our journey begins in the lively and historic city of Kathmandu, where we prepare for the adventure ahead. An early morning flight will take us to Lukla, a remote mountain town and gateway for this trek. From there, we will walk along the Dudh Koshi river, passing suspension bridges and small villages, gradually gaining altitude while letting our bodies adjust to the thinner air.

Each day’s trek offers something special: the buzzing market town of Namche Bazaar, panoramic views from Tengboche Monastery, the quiet beauty of high-altitude valleys, and finally reaching the famous Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters (17,598 feet). Along the way, we walk with purpose but also patience, taking rest days to acclimatize and exploring nearby trails to help our bodies adjust.

One of the biggest highlights will be our early morning hike to Kala Patthar, where we will witness the sunrise over Mt. Everest and other towering peaks—moments that will stay with us forever. The trek combines the thrill of high mountain adventure with deep cultural experiences, from sharing meals with Sherpa families to learning about Buddhist practices in ancient monasteries.

The nights will be spent in comfortable lodges or teahouses, giving us warmth and rest after each day’s effort. We finish our journey by returning to Lukla and then flying back to Kathmandu, carrying unforgettable memories of the highest mountains on Earth and the resilience of the people who call this region home.
